Treasurer's Report

For questions relating to the financial reports, please contact our Treasurer.

For only 8 ˝  cents a day ($30 dues) you can help to maintain the value of your home and property.  Please join to give your fair share.  Currently, 41% of homes provide 100% of CENA funds, and one third of them are contributing at the “gold level” to keep us in the black.  The downward trend in membership concerns us.

2007

I wear two hats on the CENA board: I am the Treasurer and I also maintain the membership data. Most of 2007 is behind us, and I can report that so far this year 28% of homes have given $30 or more—down from a high of nearly 50% a few years back.  We started 2007 with about $2800 and now have about $1800. We have repaired the entryway sign, planted some perennial flowers, and paid for plumbing repairs in addition to our usual bills. My wish list for the future includes some fertilizer and weed control.

I challenge more neighbors to pitch in as the year comes to a close.  On the membership page, I have posted a chart  that shows membership percentages by street (not in dollars given).  The goals CENA has set are in the best interest of every homeowner—nice entryways and green belt and an active crime watch. Per our by-laws, CENA will never try to maintain standards for homeowners. We have no authority to do so. If you have not donated to CENA, please do.    —Ted Mastenbrook
